Still Waters Counselling LLC accepts the following insurance plans:

• CareFirst (Plans: PPO)

In-Network: In-network rates depend on your unique insurance plan, which many of us are uninformed and/or unaware of our mental health coverage. If you are in-network with the accepted insurance plans listed above and choose to use your insurance, your coverage information will be requested in your initial paperwork. When you become an active client of mine, I will work with your insurance provider to find out what your coverage is and let you know what to expect to pay before you start your therapy sessions. This information will be disclosed and then shared with you in a notice letting you know up front how much your sessions will cost you. Listed above you will find the range of transparent fees based on in- and out-of-network coverage. On average, in-network clients pay anywhere from $0.00 - $80.00 of co-pay/co-insurance and this can increase or change depending on if you have a deductible to meet.

 

Clients will be fully responsible for all co-payments, coinsurance payments, or deductible payments. While every attempt is made to verify your insurance benefits ahead of time, it is encouraged for you to call your mental health benefits provider from the number that is usually found on the back of your insurance card to verify for yourself.

Out-Of-Network: Still Waters Counselling’s fees are comparable and competitive to out-of-network rates of other licensed clinicians practicing within the Northern Virginia area. I maintain a select number of sliding scale and pro bono counseling services.

 

I can provide you with a Superbill, a document which contains information needed by your insurance carrier that can be submitted directly for possible reimbursement for therapeutic services. This is not a guarantee that your insurance will reimburse you for your treatment and appointments. Every insurance policy is written differently so it is important that you speak to you insurance carrier regarding your out-of-network mental health coverage prior to your first session.
